3:38pm, Day 2, Innings break: A second-innings shootout it will be. Zimbabwe would've chuffed with 267 at 200 for 9 but Ireland might've taken it at the start of the day, with Ireland on 72 for 1. The narrative is flowing and the Test is evolving nicely. A refreshed Barry McCarthy showed just how well he can adapt in the morning to dismantle Zimbabwe's engine room. Nick Welch hung around resolutely while McBrine chipped in. But a 67-run tenth-wicket stand has taken the Bulawayo Test into interesting shores. Third innings coming up real soon.

W
Humphreys to Muzarabani, OUT, No fifty for Muzarabani! He wanted to do it in style; he slogged, the shot was on as it was a slot ball at the stumps, but did so across the line. The pace on the ball had it smash middle and leg. But he's gotten them into the lead.

3:27pm, Day 2, Session 3: Well, whaddaya know? It's another day of twists and turns. Ireland were all set to wrap up the innings but they've been cursed by a Blessing yet again. While a single-innings shootout is more likely, a slender (maybe even substantial) lead for Zimbabwe can turn things around again. The upside for Ireland's batters is that the conditions have eased out to the point that tailenders are batting comfortably

END OF OVER:

We'll be back shortly for the final session of the day. We have 27 overs left in the day.

3.15pm Zimbabwe have lost four wickets for 91 runs but most importantly their last-wicket partnership of 57 has got them awfully close to Ireland's first-innings score of 260. At one point, when McBrine and McCarthy and Adair were rattling Zimbabwe in the afternoon, it looked like Ireland would take a more than healthy lead. But Welch's 90 on debut and this stubborn stand between Muzarabani and Gwandu has given the hosts the momentum. Irrespective of how long these two last after the tea break, the game is even stevens. A big salute to this pair for batting through the extended 30 minutes that the umpires opted for, and they'll feel confident that they can add a few more after the break!

Jacobus: "Yes Bless!! What a test match he is having. Wish it was available to view in South Africa."

Tafadzwa : "This test match is turning out to be the Muzarabani show. "
