1:28pm A top, top bowling effort by the visitors and they will be pleased with their day of work so far. Mulder set the ball rolling, soon to be followed up by the record-breaking Rabada. The spinners then got into the act, with Maharaj picking up three and Piedt bagging the wicket of the set Mahmudul.

Not a lot to write home about from a Bangladesh POV. Their highest partnership was that for the ninth wicket and that tells a story in itself. Mahmudul top-scored with 30 but only three others managed to get into double-digits, with none of them passing 20. Maharaj to Taijul Islam, OUT, through Taijul, and the leg bail is toppled! Flighted up nicely on a full length outside off. Seems to take a bit of the rough and spins back in devilishly. Taijul, looking for the cover drive, seems to get a tickle that ends up clipping leg stump. Bangladesh have been rolled over for 106, having won the toss and opted to bat first!
