10:39pm Time for the presentations
Maheesh Theekshana, Player of the Match: "I was not in the XI when we came from the hotel. Thanks to rain, it was a late decision by the coach and captain. Great to be back and win the game. With the new ball it was not easy to play. When the ball got older it got easier to score."
Shai Hope, West Indies captain: "Really don't like to focus on things we can't control. Today it was disappointing. We just need to get through the powerplay and negate the spin threat. Need to limit the dot balls, last game hopefully we can play better. We not putting enough revs on the ball, bowling quickly as well. Need to take a leaf out of SL spinners. Need to adapt quickly."
Charith Asalanka, Sri Lanka captain: "We needed this badly, guys are doing well. Main reason to play Theekshana was weather conditions. He is a world class bowler in T20 format. My job at No. 5 is huge, wanted to do well."
That is all we have from here for this game. Do join us for the final game on Saturday. Till then, take care, stay hydrated!
10:17pm A fifth successive ODI bilateral series win for Sri Lanka this year, a tenth consecutive home series victory. This was as clinical as it comes. Should have been a tad more authoritative given they had West Indies on the mat at 56 for 8. But the 190-target allowed their batters an outing, and we saw the likes Madushka, Samarawickrama look good - although they did not convert the starts. Asalanka did, and scored a fantastic fifty to seal a comfortable win.
West Indies will have to take a hard look in the mirror. Batters need to do more like Rutherford and Motie showed was possible. They had enough spin bowling options but not a lot of runs to play with. Walsh having another off day did not help either. Lots to work on for them
