That's all from the final T20I of this series. Thank you for joining us and we'll see you for the ODI series starting Friday. For now, it's goodbye from me, Rvel Zahid, and our entire team. Ciao!
It was a mismatch of gargantuan proportions. It was a no contest at all today as Pakistan's batters were chaotic and lackluster with the bat, scraping their way to a below-par 128. In stark contrast, New Zealand got off to a blistering start, with the belligerent opening pair of Tim Seifert and Finn Allen gorging on runs as if they were playing against a club team, never giving Pakistan a sniff of a comeback. New Zealand's pace attack was just too good tonight and didn't allow Pakistan to get off the hook as the newcomers struggled to get accustomed to the pace and bounce with wickets continuing to tumble at regular intervals. It's understandable that Pakistan made wholesale changes and wanted to go with a fearless brand of cricket but there has to be a method to the madness. Fans would have expected some close contests but such lopsided affairs won't sit well with cricket aficionados in Pakistan. On the other hand, New Zealand will be mighty pleased with their bench strength and preparations for the World Cup as they dominated in the series barring the one hiccup
James Neesham, Player of the Match: Always a privilege to play for New Zealand. We have an amazing bunch of guys. More than happy to let the guys at the top to smack around, good sign when top five are getting the job done
Tim Seifert, Player of the Series: After a niggle in the hip, I thought there is only one way to play. Wickets were very bouncy, to be able to adapt...makes me very proud. It's just that you are backing yourself, your skills. Finn is a great mate; it's great fun out there with him. Couple of weeks with the family and then off to PSL
Salman Agha, Pakistan Captain: They were outstanding. We had some positives. Hasan batted well, Sufiyan did well... When we were coming here, we know it's a young side, focus is Asia cup and World cup. We will give them more games and when they have experience they will come good. I did alright but it doesn't matter when you lose the series. It's going to be a good series (ODI). It will be a different ball game and it's a completely different team
Michael Bracewell, New Zealand Captain: Whole bowling unit has been outstanding. We played on very friendly wickets for the seamers. Jakob stood out which has been great. The way we have been able to rotate players, everyone stood up. Obviously missing a few guys but it's great to be winning series. (happy with) consistency; the way we bounced back from Auckland and we have been pretty clinical in other games
Hassan Nasir: "We are just reveling and living in a Tim Seifert world"
