Pakistan couldn't weather the storm from the quicks and the pace and bounce troubled them big time. The visitors had a few big overs in the middle but then Neesham came in and ended the innings with a fifer, using his vast experience and bag of tricks to put the batters on the backfoot. Salman Agha was looking good, posted a crucial half-century and stitched a nice little partnership with Shadab Khan. The duo would have dearly liked to make it big in the last five overs but untimely dismissals brought the tailenders into the middle and they couldn't finish with a bang. An absolutely clinical bowling performance by New Zealand and they have made life easier for the batters by restricting Pakistan to a paltry score of 128. We'll be back shortly
Irfan Ali: "The target could have been a little different had the umpire taken the right call at 16.1. Just wondering whether Shadab will get a fine or demerit point for the reaction -- would be more frustrating if he does."
