These recruits could see the field early

This edition of the Premium Prospect Board for the Class of 2017 looks at players who offer the most immediate impact at the college level.
Some players will fill a team's specific needs and some recruits are simply too good to keep off the field.

Here are the 2017 prospects who will be hitting the college field sooner than later:

RB Najee Harris

ESPN 300 rank:
3

Committed: Alabama
Regardless of where he signs in February, Harris is a college-ready back. Of course he might not be ready in pass protection, but that can be worked around. This is a big, fast, physical back that can be a game-breaker once he gets to the second level. Wherever he lands, and that is still to be determined, he could be used like Ronald Jones II at USC last year as a rotation back who gains more reps and experience, which keeps him on the field more and more down the stretch, while not having to carry the offense.

DE Robert Beal

ESPN 300 rank:
4
Committed: Georgia
Beal plays at a premium position and his skill set is sorely needed at Georgia. Even if it is just as a designated pass rusher early in his career, he should mature in a similar fashion to Arden Key at LSU during the 2015 season. Often explosive edge-rushers see the field even if they aren't a complete player because they can bring it off the edge on passing downs and be brought along slowly as a run defenders.

S Jeffrey Okudah
ESPN 300 rank:
8
Uncommitted
Okudah's physicality and maturity is similar to that of Chauncey Gardner, who will be starting as a true freshman at Florida this fall. Okudah loves the game and plays with great passion, not to mention he can physically handle the jump up in competition he'll face at an elite program. Keep in mind Okudah can play as a nickel linebacker and special teams contributor as well.

DE Joshua Kaindoh
ESPN 300 rank:
16
Committed: Maryland
It has been a while since Maryland has been able to lure an impact edge-rusher and this program needs one. If just in spot duty, Kaindoh can be a load to contend with due to his combination of quickness and strength. He can convert speed to power very well for a young kid.

WR Tee Higgins
ESPN 300 rank:
17
Committed: Clemson
Clemson will play with a lot of receivers so it needs depth. With Higgins the Tigers will get it without a drop off in talent when in the rotation. This is an acrobatic outside target that won't wow you with speed, but his ball skills and ability to compete in traffic are exceptional and he brings the size that the Tigers are accustomed to having with the likes of Martavius Bryant and Mike Williams.

CB Kary Vincent
ESPN 300 rank:
23
Committed: LSU
LSU is keeping it DB tradition rolling with another great one. While Vincent isn't blessed with the size of a Patrick Peterson, Tre'Davius White or Kevin Toliver, the Tigers are getting a supreme cover corner with great instincts, speed and maybe most important return game production as he's dangerous with the ball in his hands. He likely gets in the rotation and as a nickel corner, but the kicking game is where he could have the most early impact.

RB Cam Akers
ESPN 300 rank:
26
Uncommitted
This is an Ezekial Elliott-type back. Akers' versatility, power, durability and receiving skills are going to get him on the field early and often regardless of where he signs. In today's game you have to have depth at the running back position which has allowed for more and more true freshman to get on the field early.

WR Trevon Grimes
ESPN 300 rank:
27
Committed: Ohio State
Ohio State needs wideouts, especially on the outside. Few players of his size and strength -- 6-foot-4, 202 pounds -- move like Grimes. He is such a physical presence and can be a huge mismatch on the outside for the 50-50 ball and in the red zone.

QB Kellen Mond

ESPN 300 rank:
57
Committed: Texas A&M
Mond might be in the right place at the right time in the perfect offense to use his skills. It also might not matter if he is ready, he may have to be as he'll be thrown into the mix in College Station. He brings a much more athletic presence than Trevor Knight or Kyle Allen, but not to the level of Kyler Murray.

WR R.J. Sneed
ESPN 300 rank:
197
Committed: TCU
He is a jet and TCU has had success with young receivers playing in their pass-happy offense. He will also be coming in at the right time, as talent and need might be the perfect recipe. Similar to current Frog KaVontae Turpin, Sneed could find early playing time as a kick returner.
