Throughout June and heading into the all-important July recruiting period, Jeff Goodman and Jeff Borzello will take a look at the summer checklists for the top 50 programs in college basketball, as revealed in Goodman's preseason ballot published in late May. Goodman and Borzello will show you each roster the way the program's coaches are looking at it, projecting graduation/NBA casualties and areas of need ahead of 2016-17. Below is the summer guide for the Florida State Seminoles.

Summer scenario
After a monster 2015 cycle in which Florida State landed one of the top recruiting classes in the country, the Seminoles are looking for repeat success. They've already filled some of their backcourt voids, with the additions of ESPN 100 guards C.J. Walker and Trent Forrest. Walker gives them a playmaker at point guard, while Forrest can play both backcourt spots. Leonard Hamilton and his staff still could have three or four spots to fill -- as they need to at least prepare for the potential early departures of Xavier Rathan-Mayes and Dwayne Bacon. As a result, they're looking for someone who can step in and be a go-to guy immediately on the perimeter, as well as multiple talented players in the frontcourt. One thing to watch for with Florida State's 2016 class is the number of in-state prospects the Seminoles are pursuing. With Billy Donovan gone to the NBA, there is a void to fill as the state's top recruiting program; Florida State could be that team. The Seminoles are going after Florida's top talent, including big men Dewan Huell, Udoka Azubuike, Tony Bradley -- and fast-rising wing forward Jonathan Isaac.
