Summer Recruiting Bible: Brand-name Dayton seeks big man

Though his name was linked to several big jobs, Archie Miller continues to guide UD on the recruiting trail. Greg Bartram/USA TODAY Sports

Throughout June and heading into the all-important July recruiting period, Jeff Goodman and Jeff Borzello will take a look at the summer checklists for the top 50 programs in college basketball, as revealed in Goodman's preseason ballot published in late May. Goodman and Borzello will show you each roster the way the coaches are looking at it, projecting graduation/NBA casualties and areas of need ahead of 2016-17. Below is the summer guide for the Dayton Flyers.

Summer scenario

Coming off five NCAA tournament wins the past two years, the Flyers are looking to take advantage of their heightened profile. Archie Miller and his staff have already done some early work with the 2016 class, getting in-state wing Trey Landers in March and then getting a major addition when Bradley transfer and former top-100 recruit Josh Cunningham chose Dayton over Illinois earlier this month. That leaves the Flyers with just one scholarship for the 2016 class -- and they are looking to take the best big man or combo guard available.
