The Texas Longhorns have stampeded up our 2025 football recruiting class rankings with a big end to the summer, adding several ESPN 300 commitments.
Jonah Williams, an outstanding multisport athlete who also excels in baseball, was a key recruiting win over the likes of SEC rivals Texas A&M and LSU. The five-star gives Texas a defender who blends excellent size (6-foot-3) and speed (4.53 laser-timed 40) and can be a versatile weapon. The Horns also added a potential big-play target to their offense in No. 2-ranked wide receiver Jaime Ffrench, a smooth pass catcher who can create separation and generate yards after the catch.
Penn State joins Texas as new entries into the top 10, as the Nittany Lions added a pair of ESPN 300 prospects to their offensive class. Matthew Outten, a flip from Virginia Tech, is a lengthy target who brings good speed, and Malachi Goodman is a 300-pounder with good bend and agility whom they can develop on their offensive line.
College and high school seasons are in full swing, but as is evident from the changes within the class rankings, recruiting remains a vital component in the quest for success.
