MVP books Baumgardner-Miranda as co-main on Taylor-Serrano card

Undisputed women's junior lightweight champion Alycia Baumgardner will make her debut with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions in the co-main event of the Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano trilogy fight on July 11.

Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs) will defend her titles against undefeated WBA interim champion Jennifer Miranda (12-0, 1 KO), representatives from Most Valuable Promotions told ESPN.

The fight will serve as the chief support bout to Taylor-Serrano 3 on the historic all-women's card at Madison Square Garden and will stream globally on Netflix.

"I came to MVP for moments like this-high stakes, global stage, and the chance to show the world who I really am," said Alycia Baumgardner in a statement to ESPN. "Amanda and Katie have done incredible things for women's boxing, and it's an honor to share the card with them. But I didn't come to stand beside greatness-I came to be it. This night, this spotlight-it's mine."

Baumgardner signed with MVP in March and will return to action for the first time since September 2024, when her fight with Delfine Persoon ended in a no-contest due to an accidental clash of heads that injured Persoon.

"Alycia Baumgardner now has the stage to show the world why she is The Most Valuable fighter in the sport," said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. "But Jennifer Miranda is another world-class athlete who has been waiting for the opportunity to demonstrate why she is one of the best in boxing. This is a world-class matchup between two elite athletes, and we're thrilled to showcase it as the co-main event of this historic night. The future of women's boxing is now, and MVP is proud to lead the charge in taking the sport to unprecedented heights."

Fighting out of Spain, Miranda made her professional debut in 2018 and won her first 11 fights before getting the opportunity to fight for the interim title. Miranda defeated Teresa Almengor by unanimous decision last October to become the WBA interim super featherweight titleholder. Miranda, 38, has fought exclusively in Spain and will get the opportunity to spoil Baumgardner's MVP debut at a massive event.

"Alycia Baumgardner is an incredible champion, but this is my opportunity to become the first ever undisputed champion from Spain and I will do so," said Miranda. "It's time to write my name in the history books of boxing. Undisputed."
