This week, Texas A&M has literally scored a commitment from a recruit every other day. On Monday, it was Ricky Seals-Jones. On Wednesday it was Hoza Scott.

On Friday, 2014 receiver Jamal Jeffery became the latest to jump on board.

The 5-foot-8, 165-pound receiver from Lufkin (Texas) High School gave his verbal pledge to the Aggies, becoming the sixth member of Texas A&M's 2014 recruiting class.

"It feels great," Jeffery said. "It feels amazing."

Jeffery had interest from several schools, including Baylor, Nebraska, North Texas, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas State, Texas Tech and UTEP, but the Aggies were the first to offer.

He feels he'll be a fit in the Aggies’ Air Raid offense.

"I like the program," Jeffery said. "I think I'll fit good in the program because I play slot receiver. I see Kenric McNeal and I watch how he plays and I feel like I can play the same position well."

The Aggies have been his father's favorite school and Jeffery has grown up a Texas A&M fan, so that didn't hurt either.

"When I found out they were interested in me, I really took a closer look at them,” Jeffery said. “When they offered, that was a plus."

He said watching the Aggies' offense and their first-year success in the Southeastern Conference were also deciding factors for him.

"I like their offense, it's exciting," Jeffery said. "They're a good Air Raid team and they can run the ball too."

Jeffery said the Aggies' win over Alabama impressed him.

"Everybody doubted them and they still came out with a win," Jeffery said. "It meant a lot because it was their first year in the SEC and the way they played, they impressed a lot of people."
