Bearcats may add RB pledge Friday

Cincinnati currently claims 11 verbal commitments to the 2014 recruiting class. A three-star running back could give the Bearcats an even dozen by Friday evening.

Ashton Jackson (Trotwood, Ohio/Trotwood-Madison) is waiting for a firm offer from the program. He may then verbally commit on the spot if he receives one.

"I'm going down to Cincinnati this Friday for their camp, and I'm looking forward to working out for the coaches," Jackson told Bill Greene of Scout.com. "Cincinnati is a school I'm very interested in.

"If they offer me this Friday I might just go ahead and commit right then. They're close to home and I've been there a lot. I think I would fit in well with their program, and I'm looking forward to developing that relationship with their coaching staff."

Jackson also has offers from Central Michigan, Illinois, Purdue and Toledo.

Cincinnati offered 14 running backs in this class. It's obviously a priority position within the class. The Bearcats may take a second commitment even if Jackson pledges to the program.
