Nebraska has signed running back Maurice Washington, the breakout star of this year's Under Armour All-America Game. Below, see why he can make an early impact for the Cornhuskers:
What he brings: A dynamic skill set; Washington has excellent speed, quickness and elusive movement skills that could translate to success on either side of the ball and as a returner. The Under Armour All-America Game MVP has the ability to contribute right away with his versatility and athleticism.
How he fits: Washington's decision to attend Nebraska came down to his desire to play running back and be featured in an open offense that would showcase his skills in space. His natural talent, which includes excellent speed and elusiveness, should allow him to compete for early snaps. His ability to line up throughout the offense and return kicks also bodes well for early impact potential.
Who he reminds us of: (Ronald Jones, USC) Jones was also a sleekly built, sudden and fast athlete out of high school with an explosive skill set similar to Washington. Both had electric plays during the Under Armour Game as well.
