South Carolina, Southern California set nonconference series

The University of South Carolina and the University of Southern California women's basketball teams will face off in nonconference matchups over the next two seasons, South Carolina announced Monday.

The first game will be held on Nov. 15, 2025, at Crypto Arena in Los Angeles, and the second on Nov. 15, 2026, at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.

The home-and-home series is being dubbed as "The Real SC," with both programs having the initials USC.

The Gamecocks and Trojans have cemented themselves as two of the premier programs in the country. They are second and fourth in the AP rankings this week. South Carolina won the SEC tournament, while USC fell to UCLA in the Big Ten tourney finals over the weekend.

The series will be hosted by Complete Sports Management.

"I will always choose elevating women's basketball, and that's especially true in scheduling," South Carolina coach Dawn Staley said in a statement. "I know Complete Sports Management has the same mission, and I like their creativity in bringing not just two great programs together, but engaging their fan bases on both coasts in a debate they love to have."
