It has been a busy end of the year in girls' high school basketball, with holiday tournaments and major matchups with top-25 rankings implications. A quick rundown:

Archbishop Mitty (California) takes over the No. 1 spot in these rankings thanks to an impressive run through the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, beating Ontario Christian (California) in the championship game 59-34. Hall of Famer Sue Phillips' squad is led by 2026 No. 6-ranked McKenna Woliczko, who had 25 points and 10 rebounds in the final. In a second-round overtime thriller, Woliczko had 37 points to counter Clackamas and USC signee Jazzy Davidson, who scored 35 in the tough loss.

Mater Dei (California) left a strong impression coming out of Phoenix as well, defeating Christ the King and Bishop McNamara on consecutive days. The team is headlined by Iowa signee Addie Deal, but the emergence of Kaeli Wynn is the story here. Wynn is showing the ultimate confidence and versatility as she can guard multiple positions, rebound and score from all over the floor. Her No. 31 ranking for the 2026 class is on the rise. GCU signee Amaya Williams is a very solid point guard as well. She merits top-100 consideration.

A focused rebounding effort, a high percentage shooting night and patience in half-court execution got Hamilton Southeastern (Indiana) a win over in-state rival Lawrence Central. Hamilton Southeastern is led by Indiana signee Maya Makalusky.

Look for Martin Luther King Day weekend to provide the next round of headlining matchups all over the country at events such as the Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Massachusetts.
