Former Oregon State standout Raegan Beers has committed to Oklahoma, she announced on social media Monday.
The 6-foot-4 rising junior post from Colorado led the Beavers in scoring and rebounding last season with 17.5 points and 10.6 rebounds per game, while also boasting the top field goal percentage in the country (66.4%).
A third-team Associated Press All-American and two-time All-Pac-12 selection, Beers came in at No. 3 in ESPN's most recent transfer rankings and is the final top-five player off the board. Her rookie campaign was filled with plenty of accolades as well, as she took home Pac-12 freshman and sixth player of the year.
"Now it's time for the next chapter in my life and my career," Beers said in a video posted on X. "I learned from an early age that I have to work for everything. I learned the importance of loving the process, and the process has led me here, a place that emphasizes the importance of loving the game, loving to compete, and loving Oklahoma. "I may just be a kid from the cul de sac in Colorado but deep down, I'm a Sooner."
After helping propel the Beavers to the Elite Eight in their first NCAA tournament appearance since 2021, Beers is one of eight Oregon State players to enter the portal; the school was left in limbo upon the disintegration of the Pac-12, and the women's basketball program will soon begin a two-year affiliate membership with the WCC.
The Sooners, who are on the cusp of leaving the Big 12 for a stacked SEC, come off a strong third season under Jennie Baranczyk, winning their second consecutive Big 12 regular season crown. With Beers - a former top-10 recruit, now the highest in Baranczyk's tenure in Norman - now aboard and all their main contributors from last year returning, Oklahoma hopes to advance past the first weekend of the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2013, then under legendary coach Sherri Coale.
