After 24 years at Iowa, coach Lisa Bluder has retired.

Bluder, 63, led the Hawkeyes to the national championship game each of the last two seasons and spent 40 years coaching overall. She is the winningest women's basketball coach in Big Ten history.

After Bluder's retirement, Iowa immediately named longtime associate head coach Jan Jensen as her replacement. As assistant to Bluder during her entire time at Iowa, Jensen previously was Bluder's assistant at Drake.

Last month, Stanford coach Tara VanDerveer retired after 38 years there. Stanford named Kate Paye as VanDerveer's successor.
