Guard Chrislyn Carr is transferring to the Louisville women's basketball team, the school announced Wednesday.
Carr spent this past season at Syracuse, where she averaged 14.2 points per game.
The Cardinals advanced to the Women's Final Four this past season but lost three starters, two of them to the WNBA draft: Emily Engstler, who also had transferred from Syracuse, and Kianna Smith, who had transferred from Cal.
On Friday, Louisville announced it was adding transfer guard Morgan Jones, a first-team All-ACC selection this past season, from Florida State. The Cardinals also will bring in four freshmen along with Jones and Carr.
Carr played her first two and a half seasons at Texas Tech, where she was the Big 12 freshman of the year in 2019. She then spent a semester at Baylor, where she didn't play, before transferring to Syracuse.
"She fills a big need at our point guard spot, and is a talented distributor, scorer and defender," Louisville coach Jeff Walz said. "We believe she is a great fit for our team and are excited to have her join us."
