Before Sabrina Ionescu took her game to the WNBA, she left her mark on the NCAA record books. The 5-foot-11 guard -- who was the consensus national player of the year in 2020 and also was the Wade Trophy and Wooden Award winner in 2019 -- is the only player in NCAA history, male or female, to collect 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists in a career.
But the former Oregon All-American also holds the NCAA record for most career triple-doubles (26), which she set over four seasons with the Ducks before the 2019-20 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The previous record for career triple-doubles was 12 by Kyle Collinsworth (BYU, 2012-16). Ionescu, who amassed 2,562 points, 1,040 rebounds and 1,091 assists in college, also holds the NCAA single-season record for triple-doubles, with eight in both 2018-19 and 2019-20.
We tracked the journey, the stats and the broken records.
