BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana hired Teri Moren as its new head coach Saturday.
Moren spent the last five seasons as Indiana State's head coach and led the Sycamores to their first 20-win season in eight years and the WNIT last season.
The Seymour native was an Indiana All-Star in high school and a two-year starter at Purdue where she played for coach Lin Dunn. Moren had previously served as head coach at the University of Indianapolis and as an assistant at Butler. She also was an assistant at Northwestern and Georgia Tech before taking the Indiana State job.
She replaces Curt Miller, who resigned suddenly July 25 for health and personal reasons.
Moren inherits a young, talented Indiana team that tied a school record with 21 wins last season.
