Los Angeles Sparks rookie forward Jasmine Walker will miss the remainder of the 2021 season with a torn ACL in her right knee, the team announced Wednesday.
Walker left last Friday's game against the Las Vegas Aces in the first quarter with a noncontact knee injury and did not return. An MRI in Los Angeles later revealed the ACL tear.
According to the Sparks, Walker will immediately undergo rehab in preparation for surgery in the coming weeks.
Walker, the seventh overall selection in last month's WNBA draft, appeared in two games for the Sparks.
In her final season at Alabama, the 6-foot-3 forward averaged 19.1 points and 9.4 rebounds while shooting 39.8% from the field.
