      Sean Raggett and Alan Power send Lincoln through

      Defender Sean Raggett helped Lincoln City into the Emirates FA Cup second round for the first time since 2012 as they beat plucky Altrincham 2-1 at Sincil Bank.The National League Imps have exited at the first-round stage in each of the last three seasons but Raggett's first-half header and an effort from man-of-the-match Alan Power after the break meant John Cyrus' late goal was no more than consolation.City were always the superior side and were desperately unlucky not to break the deadlock early on when Harry Anderson stole possession 25 yards from goal before thundering a first-time effort against the crossbar.But the hosts didn't wait long to open the scoring as a pinpoint 21st-minute Sam Habergham corner was headed home by Raggett from six yards.Chance after chance fell to the Imps after the break as they searched for the killer second - Theo Robinson somehow heading wide from close-range after 55 minutes.But they made no mistake on the hour mark as Nathan Arnold scampered through the middle before slipping in Power, who finished delightfully.The National League North visitors, against the run of play, halved the deficit on 75 minutes when Cyrus rose above a static home defence to nod home a corner but it was too little, too late.

        Torquay United 2-0 Altrincham

        Torquay eased their Vanarama National League relegation fears and added to Altrincham's as goals from Luke Young and Shaun Harrad earned them a 2-0 victory.Torquay took the lead after 17 minutes when Young fired home from 25 yards for his first league goal since October 2014.Altrincham went close to levelling matters when Torquay keeper Brendan Moore was forced into a fine save by Damian Reeves, tipping the striker's shot around the post after 35 minutes.As half-time approached Young and Harrad were both denied by Altrincham keeper Tim Deasy as the home side tried to increase their advantage.Harrad extended Torquay's lead just before the hour when he guided the ball past Deasy after Nathan Blissett had flicked on and the home side saw out a comfortable victory.ends

          Last-gasp Callum Harriott goal spares Colchester's blushes against Altrincham

          Callum Harriott's dramatic stoppage-time winner helped Colchester United beat brave Altrincham 3-2 and progress in the FA Cup.Altrincham took a shock third-minute lead through skipper Jake Moult, who sent a superb first-time chip over Colchester keeper Jamie Jones from 30 yards.And the Robins almost made it 2-0 in the eighth minute when Damian Reeves' 35-yard lob hit the roof of net, with Jones again stranded.But Colchester equalised in the 14th minute through Harriott, who robbed Scott Leather of possession just outside the Altrincham area and exchanged passes with Marvin Sordell before slotting low past Tim Deasy.Jones denied Jordan Sinnott before Altrincham regained their lead just 18 seconds after half-time when Michael Rankine slotted low past Jones in the area.But it was 2-2 eight minutes later when Tom Lapslie nodded in Sordell's cross, after more good work by Harriott.Deasy denied George Moncur and Jones saved from Nicky Clee in stoppage-time before Harriott made space in the area and fired home Colchester's winner.

            Damian Reeves winner helps Altrincham stun Barnsley

            Damian Reeves' second-half strike gave Altrincham a famous FA Cup victory as they picked up a 1-0 win over League One side Barnsley at Moss Lane.The striker's goal came minutes after the interval for the National League side with both teams having first-half penalty appeals turned down.Barnsley dominated the game in large spells but were made to pay for missing numerous gilt-edged chances.In what proved to be their first meeting, both sides shared early chances in a combative opening 45 minutes.In the 18th minute Ryan Crowther's cross struck Marc Roberts on the arm but the referee took no interest as appeals were waved away.Barnsley had their own claim turned down eight minutes later when a challenge on Sam Winnall was deemed fair.Winnall had another chance with two minutes remaining in the first half but saw his effort well saved by Tim Deasy.Altrincham were ahead in the 47th minute when Adam Davies could only palm Crowther's drive into the path of the oncoming Reeves.Barnsley went on to dominate possession, with substitutes Lloyd Isgrove, Conor Wilkinson and Conor Hourihane all coming close to scoring.But, despite extended pressure on their goal, Lee Sinnott's men were resilient and held out for the win.

              Altrincham 1-1 Torquay United

              Tyrone Marsh scored but was later sent off as Torquay were pegged back to draw 1-1 with Altrincham.Torquay dominated the opening stages and Alex Fisher and Marsh went close twice apiece, while Jake Moult led Altrincham's efforts at the other end.The opener came in the 24th minute when James Hurst sent Marsh through to cut inside and finish left-footed.Gianluca Havern blocked Courtney Richards' piledriver and Tim Deasy pushed away Fisher's strike before the break, while Altrincham's Scott Leather shot over from close range.Marsh saw another good effort saved but Altrincham drew level when Moult let fly from 30 yards for a superb goal.Marsh was then dismissed for violent conduct following an off-the-ball incident and the 11 men pressed for a winner, but Moult's shot was blocked and Leather headed wide.ends

                Dale downs Alty

                Robert Dale scored twice as Blyth Spartans shocked Conference side Altrincham 4-1 to book their spot in the second round of the FA Cup.The club's longest-serving player scored in each half, while team-mate Daniel Maguire also netted twice either side of Kyle Perry's goal for Altrincham after the break.Spartans got off to the perfect start when Dale weaved his magic on the left side of the box where he was tripped by Shaun Densmore.Dale sent Stuart Coburn the wrong way from the spot to maintain his record of scoring in every round.Tom Marshall almost got the Conference strugglers level on the stroke of half-time but his 25-yard shot hit the post.Blyth continued to call the tune after the break and doubled their lead on the hour when Maguire worked a clever one-two with Matty Wade before beating Coburn at his near post.Altrincham briefly got back in it against the Evo-Stik Premier League side when Perry lobbed home from 22 yards on 72 minutes.But Dale extinguished any hope for the visitors on 84 minutes when he found the bottom corner from 16 yards before Maguire again beat Coburn two minutes from time.
