    Peterhead hit back to keep survival hopes alive as Stenhousemuir go down

    A late comeback saw Peterhead avoid automatic relegation from Scottish League One and condemned Stenhousemuir to the drop.Peterhead started the day bottom of the table, but recovered from 2-1 down to beat Alloa 3-2.That left Stenhousemuir needing a win, but they could only draw 1-1 with Brechin.Iain Flannigan gave Alloa a 29th-minute lead with a low effort from 12 yards, but Rory McAllister equalised eight minutes after half-time.Adam Martin restored Alloa's advantage on the hour mark, but with relegation looming Peterhead levelled through Grant Anderson and Jordan Brown fired the winner from six yards with 10 minutes remaining.The Blue Toon are not safe yet, as they face a relegation play-off with three sides from League Two.Stenhousemuir found themselves behind after only five minutes as Alan Trouten's penalty put Brechin ahead following Mason Robertson's foul on Alistair Love.Oli Shaw equalised after 62 minutes, but a 1-1 draw ensures they will be playing in League Two next season.Brechin's point secured their place in the promotion play-off, and Airdrieonians beat Queen's Park 3-2 to earn their place in the end-of-season shake-up.Dario Zanatta put Queen's Park ahead, but Andy Ryan struck either side of half-time to give Airdrieonians the lead.Kalvin Orsi's low effort drew the visitors level, but less than a minute later Iain Russell converted Scott Stewart's pass for the winner.Runaway champions Livingston signed off with a 2-0 win over Albion, with Scott Pitman and Raffaele De Vita on target.

      Danny Mullen at the double to stretch Livingston's lead at the top of League One

      Danny Mullen scored twice as Livingston extended their lead at the top of Ladbrokes League One to 11 points with a 4-2 win over Airdrieonians.Striker Mullen slotted in the first with eight minutes played at Almondvale before Declan Gallagher stabbed home a rebound to double the lead two minutes later.Ryan Conroy's curling free-kick halved the deficit before the break only for Mullen's second goal and a strike from substitute Nicky Cadden to put the result beyond doubt, prior to Andy Ryan pulling one back with a stoppage-time penalty.Second-placed Alloa dropped points in their pursuit of the leaders as Ewan MacPherson's injury-time goal earned Queen's Park a 2-2 draw.Goals from midfielder Iain Flannigan and defender Scot Taggart twice put the Wasps ahead, either side of David Galt's leveller.The hosts were denied all three points in the final moments though when MacPherson headed an equaliser.Andy Jackson claimed a late winner as Brechin beat East Fife 2-1 to climb into third above their opponents.Luke Watt's first-half goal put the hosts on course for victory at Glebe Park, only for Chris Duggan to equalise from the penalty spot early in the second period.City were not to be denied victory though and top scorer Jackson claimed the decisive goal in the first minute of added time.Ross Stewart's quickfire brace moved Albion out of the bottom two as they won 3-0 at bottom club Stenhousemuir.The striker broke the deadlock in the 58th minute before ensuring his side's first victory in nine league games five minutes later. Scott McBride added a third late on.Peterhead dropped to ninth despite rescuing a point with a late leveller in the 2-2 draw with Stranraer.Rory McAllister's 14th league goal of the season put the Blue Toon ahead but Craig Malcolm and Scott Robertson turned the game around, only for James Redman to salvage a draw in the second minute of stoppage time
