      Hallam Hope strike enough for Carlisle

      Hallam Hope scored the only goal of the game as Carlisle claimed a third successive Sky Bet League Two victory with a 1-0 win at Yeovil.Hope's strike came in the 48th minute after he was given too much time on the left flank to cut inside and send the ball into the far corner.The Carlisle striker almost made it 2-0 with a near-identical strike shortly afterwards, this time hitting the base of a post before goalkeeper Jonny Maddison recovered well to block the follow-up from substitute Ashley Nadesan.The Glovers almost equalised during a frantic period of play when Otis Khan failed to connect with a Jordan Green cross, before goalkeeper Jack Bonham denied Alex Fisher and an Omar Sowunmi shot was cleared off the line.Lewis Wing then went even closer late on as the midfielder struck a post himself with a well-struck effort from the edge of the box, but the home side could not make the breakthrough.

        Stevenage ease past Yeovil

        Stevenage hammered Yeovil 4-1 to record a first win in five League Two games.Goals from Luke Amos, Jon Smith, Danny Newton and Ben Kennedy eased the hosts to victory before the Glovers scored through Ryan Seager.Stevenage made a bright start, with Newton shooting just wide before Amos fired the home side in front - curling in a brilliant 25-yard dipping shot after 16 minutes.Kennedy was then denied by a last-ditch challenge before Jonny Maddison saved well to deny Mark McKee from close range as the hosts pressed for a second.Kennedy also volleyed over when he was put clear but Stevenage did finally double their lead in first-half stoppage time, Smith finding the bottom corner with a powerful low drive from 20 yards.And just a minute into the second half, it was 3-0 as Newton converted a Kennedy cross from close range.On 58 minutes the game was over as Ben Wilmot set up Kennedy to make it 4-0 before Seager pounced on an error for the Glovers' goal.

          Yeovil cruise to victory over struggling Barnet

          Yeovil beat bottom-placed Barnet 2-0 in Sky Bet League Two thanks to an early penalty from Sam Surridge and stoppage-time second from substitute Francois Zoko.The Glovers showed their intent right from the kick-off and it resulted in a penalty being given after just 30 seconds when Ricardo Santos brought down Surridge in the box and the striker picked himself up to score.Having created almost nothing in the first half the Bees sprung into life in the second but goalkeeper Jonny Maddison was equal to it, first getting a strong hand to a deflected Simeon Akinola shot. Maddison then tipped an effort from Mauro Vilhete onto the post and stood firm again to turn a David Tutonda strike from distance wide.At the other end Santos this time denied the hosts a goal, positioning himself perfectly to clear a Corey Whelan shot off the line with Craig Ross beaten, but Zoko secured the three points in the third minute of added time with a low strike on the break.

            Crewe and Yeovil take a point each

            Relegation-threatened Crewe lacked quality in the final third as they had to settle for a goalless draw with Yeovil.The stalemate at Gresty Road was only Alex's third draw of the campaign, but came when they least needed it as games involving rivals Chesterfield and Forest Green were rained off, leaving them three points off the bottom two. The Railwaymen called the shots but found Artur Krysiak in fine form before the Yeovil goalkeeper limped off after the break.Krysiak gloved Harry Pickering's deflected 20-yard drive around the post and kept out a fierce shot from Zoumana Bakayogo.Crewe had credible penalty appeals waved away by referee Robert Lewis in the first half after Nathan Smith appeared to handle Paul Green's cross. From the resulting corner Krysiak stood firm by tipping Pickering's effort over.Ryan Seager wasted Yeovil's best chance when he drove wide.After the restart Pickering curled a free-kick onto the bar and Shaun Miller drove an effort way over as Crewe sought the breakthrough in vain.But Francois Zoko issued a warning when he fired across the face of goal in a rare Yeovil attack.
