The field is now set for the Asian Cup to be hosted by Australia. The Matildas automatically qualified as hosts.

China, South Korea, and Japan also secured automatic qualification after finishing in the top three positions at the 2022 edition of the tournament. India, Chinese Taipei, Vietnam, and Philippines topped their respective qualifying groups and will feature again as they did in 2022.

Uzbekistan return to the showpiece event of Asian women's football after a 23-year absence, while North Korea -- who lasted played in the Asian Cup in 2010 -- will also take to the park.

Bangladesh will be the only nation to be making their tournament debut in Australia; the team is ranked 128th in the world, 58 spots below the next ranked team.

The draw for the tournament will take place in Sydney on July 29. The tournament itself will take place from March 1 to 21 in Sydney, Perth, and the Gold Coast.
