TRENDING RUMORS

- Record reports that Viktor Gyökeres is angry at Sporting CP for the transfer fee they are demanding, believing they have gone back on a gentleman's agreement to allow him to move for €60m plus €10m in add-ons -- much less than his €100m release clause. A target of Arsenal and Manchester United, Gyökeres stayed in Lisbon last summer on the proviso that he could move if a club met those lower terms. However, Sporting are quoting €80m during talks with interested clubs. The 27-year-old, who has a contract with Sporting until June 2028, scored 39 league goals in 33 appearances to help Sporting lift the league title.

- Manchester United have not admitted defeat in the race to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli, and are ready to offer Joshua Zirkzee as part of a deal, reports Gazzetta dello Sport. The 26-year-old Osimhen reportedly turned down an initial approach from Al Hilal last week, and while the Saudi Arabian club may return with an improved offer it won't make a difference. Encouraged, United do not want to pay the Nigeria international's €75m release clause, meaning the 24-year-old Zirkzee -- who previously played in Italy for Bologna -- could become a makeweight.

- Chelsea have called off their move for Mike Maignan after failing to agree a fee with AC Milan for the goalkeeper, according to Fabrizio Romano. Chelsea wanted to sign the 29-year-old in time for the FIFA Club World Cup, but have told the Serie A side they won't pay an inflated fee, essentially a "tax," for getting the deal done by Tuesday's deadline. Chelsea had offered up to €18m, with Milan demanding €30m.

- Everton have Manchester City winger Jack Grealish on their transfer wish list, according to the Mirror. The 29-year-old is reportedly one of six players whom the Toffees are looking at amid a planned rebuild, though they have not yet begun talks with the Citizens over a potential deal and intend to dismiss offers for center back Jarrad Branthwaite. Recent reports have also linked Grealish with Bayer Leverkusen.

- Liverpool will consider offers of £70 million for striker Darwin Núñez this summer, reports the Daily Mail. Al Hilal are reported to be "weighing up" a move for the 25-year-old after missing out on Napoli's Victor Osimhen, and Núñez is believed to be willing to leave Anfield after struggling to establish himself as a starter. He made just eight starts in the Premier League last season, scoring five times following a dip in his performances under manager Arne Slot.

COMPLETED DEALS

- Borussia Dortmund have completed a deal for Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham, five years after signing his brother Jude, the club has confirmed.

- Manchester City have signed goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli from Chelsea. The 33-year-old comes in as their new third-choice, replacing the retiring Scott Carson.

- Chelsea Women have swooped for Werder Bremen goalkeeper Livia Peng.

- Celtic have officially confirmed the return of Kieran Tierney on a free transfer from Arsenal. The 28-year-old has signed a five-year contract.

- Manchester City have announced that former Liverpool assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders has joined Pep Guardiola's coaching staff.

- Botafogo have confirmed the signing of forward Joaquin Correa on a free transfer.
