England stars Fran Kirby and Chloe Kelly will miss Friday's UEFA Women's Nations League clash with Belgium after picking up minor injuries.
Kirby was absent from the previous Lionesses' squad due to a knee injury, and Wiegman confirmed at a news conference on Thursday that "little niggles" would keep her and teammate Kelly out of the first Belgium clash at Ashton Gate, Bristol.
"We are still working towards Tuesday's game," England manager Wiegman said.
"It's really disappointing for them because they are in a very good place. It's disappointing for the team too.
"But as always, we prepare for the next steps and think about scenarios of who is ready to play and is ready to come in."
England face Belgium again on Tuesday at the King Power at Den Dreef Stadion, Leuven in another Nations League clash.
