The Premier League has restarted after the international break with leaders Liverpool securing a crucial 1-0 win over derby rivals Everton. Following the table toppers, the likes of Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Newcastle United also won their respective matches.
In Spain, Real Madrid and Barcelona will meet in the final of Copa del Rey on April 26 after winning their respective semifinal matches. Arminia Bielefeld, a third division side in Germany, shocked Bayer Leverkusen to qualify for the final where they will meet VfB Stuttgart.
Meanwhile in Coppa Italia, AC Milan and Inter Milan played out a 1-1 draw in their first leg semifinal.
