The conclusion of the 2024-25 ASEAN Club Championship group stage is here.
Remarkably, seven teams are still in the hunt for three remaining semifinal berths come the final match day.
Only Công An Hà Nội -- the tournament's standouts so far with a perfect record of four wins -- are guaranteed their place in the last four.
Meanwhile, four teams -- Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng and Shan United in Group A, and Lion City Sailors and Kaya FC-Iloilo in Group B -- are no longer in the running.
But with that quartet facing off against one another in the final round of games, it means the rest of the action will feature do-or-die clashes that will only add to the drama and intrigue.
Here, we take a look at the teams hoping to reach the semis and what they have to do to get there.
Group A
A mere two points separate Group A's top four with BG Pathum United currently in pole position on eight points.
Avoiding defeat against Terengganu on Wednesday will seal BGPU's progress given it will keep them one point ahead of their second-placed opponents, with PSM Makassar and Đông Á Thanh Hóa also guaranteed to take points off each other.
The fact that either PSM and Thanh Hóa will get at least a point means that Terengganu must win, given they are currently level with the former.
In fourth, Thanh Hóa still have their fate in their own hands knowing victory over PSM will see them overtake the Indonesian outfit and either BGPU and Terengganu, which would put them in the top two.
Group B
Công An Hà Nội are not only through but they are assured of top spot given their five-point lead but the outcome of Thursday's clash with Borneo Samarinda will still have repercussions on Group B's final standings.
Borneo are in a similar position to Thanh Hóa in that they must get three points but, in their situation, it still will not guarantee them a spot in the semis as they will require the other result to go their way.
In the event that second-placed Buriram United beat Kuala Lumpur City, they will definitely joing CAHN in the last four. A draw however will give Borneo the opportunity to leapfrog both them and KL City.
Should Buriram suffer defeat, it will be KL City that advance given they boast a better head-to-head record against Borneo.
