Arsenal vs Man City: Erling Haaland goaded by Gabriel and Myles Lewis-Skelly

Gabriel Magalhães celebrated Martin Ødegaard's opening goal in Arsenal's 5-1 win over Manchester City on Sunday by screaming in front of Erling Haaland's face.

Arsenal full-back Myles Lewis-Skelly then copied Haaland's trademark "lotus" yoga pose celebration when he scored his team's third in the 62nd minute.

Ødegaard put Arsenal in front in the second minute of the match after Declan Rice regained possession from some sloppy play at the back from City's defence.

As the ball crossed the line at the other end of the pitch, Arsenal centre-back Gabriel momentarily celebrated in front of Haaland's face before running towards his teammates.

The Norway international has become unpopular with some Arsenal supporters after Sky Sports' cameras recorded him getting involved in an altercation with Gabriel Jesus after the teams' 2-2 draw on Sep. 22 and telling head coach Mikel Arteta to "stay humble" as the Spaniard shook hands with players on the pitch.

Haaland also avoided punishment for throwing the ball at Gabriel in the aftermath of City's stoppage-time equaliser.

Haaland scored City's equaliser on Sunday with a guided header in the 55th minute. The forward has scored 15 headed goals for City since he arrived at the club in 2022-23 -- four more than any other player in the Premier League in that time.

Thomas Partey's deflected shot put Arsenal back in front just one minute and 45 seconds after Haaland's leveller. Lewis-Skelly then gave Arsenal some breathing space near the hour mark.

Kai Havertz added some gloss to the result with a fine finish into the bottom corner with 14 minutes of normal time remaining. Teenager Ethan Nwaneri rounded off the scoring with a goal in second half stoppage-time.

In one second-half incident after Gabriel won a free kick, he grabbed the shorts of Haaland then refused to accept the hand of the City striker, who was attempting to help the Brazilian up. Minutes later, Haaland approached Gabriel and pointed to the Premier League badge on his shirt sleeve, appearing to indicate that he and City have won the title and Gabriel hasn't.

Later, one Arsenal fan was seen holding up a sign with the words "Stay humble, eh?"

And when the final whistle sounded, Arsenal played Kendrick Lamar's "Humble" loudly around the stadium.
