Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has signed an extension to remain in his post past this summer's Euros, removing any chance that he will return to succeed Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich.
Some of the biggest coaching jobs in Europe are available this summer, with Bayern, Liverpool and Barcelona looking for their next manager.

However, Nagelsmann ruled out a return to club football by penning a contract extension that will keep him in charge until after the 2026 World Cup in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, the German FA (DFB) announced on Friday.
The DFB said that its supervisory board and shareholders decided unanimously to keep Nagelsmann in charge of the national team after Euro 2024, which Germany will host.
German media reports said Nagelsmann was on Bayern's shortlist to replace Tuchel, who is stepping down at the end of the season.
Nagelsmann was replaced by Tuchel after the former was sacked by Bayern in March 2023.
"This is a decision of the heart. It is a great honor to be able to train the national team and work with the best players in the country," Nagelsmann said in a statement.
"With successful, passionate performances we have the chance to inspire an entire country. The two wins against France and the Netherlands in March really touched me.
"We want to play a successful home European Championship together and I'm really looking forward to it together with my coaching team Challenge of a World Cup."
German FA president Bernd Neuendorf said Nagelsmann being on the radar of club sides was a factor in extending his contract now.
"It is a strong signal for the DFB and the national team that Julian Nagelsmann will remain national coach beyond the home European Championships. Because he is on the wish list of many big clubs across Europe," Neuendorf said.
"But the national team is, for Julian Nagelsmann, it's more than just a job, it's a real matter close to his heart. Now there is planning security and everyone can concentrate entirely on a successful performance at the European Championships."
Meanwhile, Tuchel has said he will still leave Bayern in the summer, despite having led the side to the semifinals of the Champions League with their victory over Arsenal 3-2 on aggregate on Wednesday.
"I've an agreement with the club to part ways in June; it has been communicated, and it stands," Tuchel told a news conference on Friday.
This year is the first since 2012 that Bayern have failed to win the Bundesliga title.
