Australia international Aaron Mooy has signed for Brighton and Hove Albion on a season-long loan from Huddersfield, linking up with fellow Australian goalkeeper Mathew Ryan, while midfielder Massimo Luongo has joined Sheffield Wednesday from QPR.
Mooy played his last game for recently-relegated Huddersfield in the side's season-opening 2-1 loss to Derby on Monday.
"Aaron was adamant that he wanted to test himself again in the Premier League when Brighton's interest came in," Huddersfield head coach Jan Siewert said in a statement. "We didn't want an issue where we had a disillusioned player on the pitch in the final year of his contract."
The two-time Australian Footballer of the Year made 29 Premier League appearances for Huddersfield last season, scoring three goals.
The 28-year-old midfielder joined Huddersfield from Manchester City in 2017 following a successful loan spell to the club the previous season.
Mooy has 39 caps for Australia, including three appearances in the group stages of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Luongo, 26, has joined Championship side Sheffield Wednesday on a permanent deal from QPR, having made 152 appearances for the club.
Luongo, who has 42 caps for the Socceroos, scoring six goals -- began his professional career at Tottenham and had spells at Ipswich and Swindon before signing for QPR in 2015.
