Former Liverpool and Leeds United forward Harry Kewell has been appointed Barnet coach after being sacked by Oldham in March.
Kewell, who was part of Liverpool's Champions League-winning squad in 2005, won 17 out of 41 games with Oldham.
The former Australia international, who won 58 caps for the Socceroos and featured at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups, previously managed Crawley Town and Notts County.
"Barnet is a fantastic football club but we need to get the club back on the right path and get going back in the right direction," Kewell said in a statement.
"The chairman and myself have put a really exciting backroom team together, with the view of a collective unit being the driving force behind a successful future for the football club."
