LIVE Transfer Talk: Spurs, Chelsea eye Real Madrid striker Jovic

The winter transfer window is closed, but now it's time to look ahead to the summer! Here are the new rumours floating around Europe's big leagues and beyond.

TOP STORY: Spurs, Chelsea eye Real Madrid's Jovic

The Daily Star is reporting that Real Madrid will offload Luka Jovic after he broke the rules on self-isolation while in Serbia, and that the striker will be offered to a number of interested English clubs.

The report claims Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are among those who might be given first dibs on the 22-year-old. Madrid bosses are said to be furious with the striker who has since been asked to apologise after he was criticised for breaking quarantine rules.

The Real Madrid squad have been in isolation since March 12, when one of the club's basketball players tested positive for the coronavirus.

Jovic was supposed to observe 28 days of isolation upon return to his homeland, but he was the spotted outside his Belgrade apartment. It has caused such a stir that the country's president even threatened arrest if Jovic broke the rule again.

Despite Jovic's apology, it looks as though the striker has given his Bernabeu employers a reason to offload him, which could benefit those aforementioned London sides.

22.00 GMT: One more for the road... What will Arsenal do if they lose Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer?

The Mirror reports that Celtic star man Odsonne Edouard, 22, could be targeted to replace the Gabon international at the Emirates. The 22-year-old, who joined Celtic from PSG in 2018, has scored 27 times already this season and is being linked with a move to one of Europe's Top Five leagues.

Everton and Leicester, the latter managed by his former manager Brendan Rodgers, have also been linked with the £30 million-rated striker who has played a role in 91 goals (60 goals and 31 assists) in 126 games since arriving in Scotland.

21.29 GMT: Inter to replace Lautaro Martinez with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer?

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Gabonese striker and Olivier Giroud could arrive, with Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez potentially set to depart. With Barcelona and Chelsea circling for the Argentine forward, the report suggests Inter could move for Aubameyang, whose contract expires next season, and who is reportedly unhappy with the Gunners set to miss out Champions League football again.

Aubameyang, who came up with Inter's rivals AC Milan, reportedly has a desire to return to Italy and with a goal record of 61 goals in 97 games with Arsenal, would be more than a capable martinez if Lautaro exits the San Siro. The striker carousel could be quite interesting this summer...

20.38 GMT: So Jorginho could be a Chelsea player out this summer but how about one who could potentially come in?

Lisbon's Record writes that Estoril youngster Chiquinho, 20, could be in the London club's sights. The Portugal Under-20 international has impressed this season with seven goals for the club's U23s and is reportedly being courted by Chelsea and London rivals West Ham, with the Blues reportedly slight favourites.

The Caper Verdean-born player is one for the future and projects as a Portugal senior international.

19.57 GMT: By now it is no secret that Maurizio Sarri is a big fan of Jorginho: the "pass master" has played for the manager at both Napoli and Chelsea.

Could the two link up at a third club? The Sun claims that Sarri is keen to bring the midfielder to Juventus and suggests a Miralem Pjanic plus cash for Jogrinho swap could get the deal done.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Juve are seriously considering the swap for Pjanic, who Man City, Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG are all also reportedly interested in.

19.03 GMT: QPR's Eberechi Eze has been one of the top players in the Championship this season but he likely won't be there for much longer.

QPR sporting director Les Ferdinand revealed that Crystal Palace moved for the midfielder in January, and we expect more top-flight clubs to follow this summer. The Sun understands Spurs are the favourites for the 21-year-old, who is rated at around £20 million.

The England Under-21 international, who has scored 12 goals and laid on another eight this season, is under contract at Loftus Road through 2021 but that doesn't figure to deter interested clubs.

18.20 GMT: Dutch striker Steven Berghuis has had a breakout season at Feyenoord with 22 goals and 11 assists and that has put his name in the Premier League shop window.

Former Holland international Rafael van de Vaart though has urged the 28-year-old to resist English club's advances. The former Tottenham man had the following to say in a recent interview with De Volkskrant:

"I think he should stay with Feyenoord. He is the man there, the team is built around him," Van der Vaart said.

"Do you have to go to Everton when you are almost 29 or something? If you don't play well there twice, they will set up a clumsy Englishman and you will be out of the picture, also with Oranje [national team]."

If Everton are to move for Berghuis it probably won't be smooth sailing... as the Dutchman is represented by one Mino Raiola.

17: 47 GMT: Atletico Madrid have had trouble finding a consistent -- and healthy -- No. 9 in recent years with Kevin Gameiro, Nikola Kalinic, Alvaro Morata and Diego Costa all tried over the past few seasons.

Spanish outlet AS claims that the club could make a surprise swoop for Rangers frontman Alfredo Morelos this summer to solve the club's goalscoring struggles (31 goals in 27 league games). The Colombian, who has bagged 29 goals in 43 games this season and has 59 over 91 games over the past two seasons, is likely to leave Glasgow this summer and has been linked with La Liga clubs in the past.

The report claims that Morelos could be had for a bargain of between £10-15 million and that Diego Simeone is an admirer of the 23-year-old. Morelos does come with some risk, as the hot-tempered forward has amassed a staggering EIGHT red cards over the past two seasons.

17.11 GMT: Stephan El Shaarawy wants to return to AS Roma from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Greeland Shenhua, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. He moved to China in a €16m deal in the summer of 2019.

16.41 GMT: The agent of Fabian Ruiz says the Napoli midfielder could be on the move in the summer. He has been linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid, plus Premier League clubs are said to be watching.

"In the short term, he is focused on Napoli," he told Marca. "However we have parked the negotiations until the end of the season. At the moment there are several big clubs interested in him, and Napoli are aware of this. It is clear he is on his way to becoming one of the leading players in world football."

15.59 GMT: Santos President Jose Carlos Peres has been talking about the future of three of his star players, all of whom could be set for a move to major European clubs.

Yeferson Soteldo is attracting interest from Inter Milan and Everton, while Kaio Jorge could move to Juventus and Torino are tracking Lucas Verissimo.

"Football may have stopped for the coronavirus pandemic, but the transfer market is carrying on as normal," Peres told Calciomercato.com. "It's no secret that Kaio Jorge is sought-after, but if we don't receive the offers I feel are suitable by a certain deadline, then we'll keep him until the end of the season.

"Juventus asked about him, but made no formal offers. I told them his release clause is €75m, but we are open to negotiation. We were discussing closer to €30m, but not just with Juve. Another two Italian clubs are very active on him, along with a French side, but seeing as those stories didn't reach the papers, I won't name them.

"The clauses are there to protect ourselves from the economic aggression of the big European clubs. It forces those clubs to speak with us directly.

"I will confirm Inter asked me for Soteldo, specifically [director of sport Piero] Ausilio in person, but he stopped when I requested €35m. Soteldo is a young player with sensational skills, a player who can decide games. I've received requests from all the big clubs in Brazil, he is wanted by Premier League sides like Everton, as well as many offers from Spain."

15.27 GMT: Mundo Deportivo reports that Real Madrid are ready to offer a new contract to Achraf Hakimi. The Morocco international is in the final season of a two-year loan at Borussia Dortmund, where he has impressed. Hakimi will have only one year left on his Madrid deal when he returns.

14.59 GMT: Former Liverpool forward Suso is eager to make his loan move from AC Milan to Sevilla permanent in the summer.

"I hope to play in the Champions League with Sevilla and to win something. I could stay here and I hope it does happen," Suso told AS. "In my time at Milan, I had three Presidents, various coaches and dozens of teammates. You can't create anything solid when everything changes each year."

14.19 GMT: Alejandro Moreno weighs up whether Liverpool should cash in on Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino in the summer.

13.42 GMT: Forget about Chelsea making a move for Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, how about Manchester United? When one fan asked Marcus Rashford to have a little word with Sancho in exchange for a charity donation, the United striker couldn't resist!

13.00 GMT: Chelsea legend John Terry, now on the coaching staff at Aston Villa, has urged his former club to pull out all the stops to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

"I think Sancho is one of the best young players in the world at the moment, so he'd be a great addition to Chelsea's squad," Terry said.

12.03 GMT: Barcelona will decide next week whether to temporally reduce the salaries of some first-team players to counteract the devastating economic impact of the coronavirus, sources have told ESPN. Sources also told ESPN that the players are aware of the discussions and would need to give the green light for the club to temporarily cut their salaries.

11.11 GMT: Lots was expected of Jeremie Boga when he came through the ranks at Chelsea, but he was eventually sold to Sassuolo for £2.5m two years ago without making an impact. However, he has netted eight goals in 24 Serie A appearances this season and the Daily Mail is linking the player with a £12.8m return to Stamford Bridge as the Blues have a buy-back clause.

10.25 GMT: Liverpool look set to battle it out with Barcelona for the signing of 21-year-old Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare, according to Sport in Spain. The France under-21 international, who is also attracting interest from Real Madrid, has been compared in style to Paul Pogba, and Lille are ready to sell in the summer.

09.30 GMT: The Sun reports that Manchester United are to open talks with Nemanja Matic over an extended contract. This comes after the midfielder had a one-year extension to his deal triggered this week, and now United want to tie the 31-year-old down to 2022.

PAPER ROUND

Coutinho move to Inter could spark domino effect

Another day, another development in Philippe Coutinho's future as Tuttusport is suggesting that the Brazilian could join Inter Milan this summer, which in turn could confirm Lautaro Martinez's move to Barcelona from Inter Milan.

Ex-Liverpool star Coutinho is on loan from Barcelona at Bayern Munich, but with the German side unlikely to spend the £120m required to secure Coutinho's services in the long term. Barca could therefore agree to let him join Inter on loan, perhaps even for two years, if it means they can secure the services of Martinez.

Barca are desperate to partner the Argentine striker with compatriot Lionel Messi, but they're not willing -- or able -- to pay the €150m asking price nor the €111m release clause. Sources have told ESPN that Barca face bleak financial times amid the coronavirus crisis, and have discussed cutting the salaries of their first-team squad.

Nonetheless, the deal would appear to benefit all parties with Barca landing their man and Inter gaining a player with Champions League experience and who has played at the top level in three countries.

Barca, Real to battle it out for Ruiz

Barcelona and Real Madrid are preparing to go to battle this summer over Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz, according to Calciomercato.

The two Spanish giants are also reportedly preparing to lock horns over the signature of Bayern Munich defender David Alaba, and now they both want Spain international Ruiz too.

Napoli have endured something of a challenging season and while a contract renewal is on the table for the 23-year-old, his agent has suggested that he'll mull over several potential moves and make a decision at the end of the season.

Ruiz's agent has suggested that both Barca and Real Madrid have enquired about his client, who joined Napoli from Real Betis in 2018.

Both clubs have been boosted by the fact that there's no release clause in Ruiz's contract.

Tap-ins

- Milan rivals Inter and AC will battle it out for Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso in the summer, reports Calciomercato. The Argentine has impressed this season and Inter are said to have been tracking him for some time. Meanwhile, the Rossoneri are unsure about the future of Gianluigi Donnarumma, and are preparing potential replacements in case he decides to leave.

- Arsenal are said to have opened talks with Feyenoord over the signing of Orkun Kokcu for £23m, according to Football.London. The 19-year-old is hot property and while his contract runs out in 2023, the Dutch club are said to be open to negotiations for the right price.
