MANCHESTER -- Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told supporters not to expect much transfer business in January.
Solskjaer has a little over three weeks to make changes to his squad but speaking at a news conference on Friday, he appeared pessimistic about the prospect of making new signings.

He also said he wants to keep the players he has at Old Trafford while speculation continues that Ashley Young could quit for Inter Milan.
"I wouldn't expect many ins and outs," Solskjaer said. "We've still got the same thoughts we had a month ago.
"We've got the players we have, we're working with the ones we have and if something happens we'll tell you."
Young is in talks with Inter and has turned down the offer of an extension from United. He was omitted from the squad for the defeat to Manchester City but Solskjaer suggested the 34-year-old could return when Norwich visit Old Trafford on Saturday.
"He's one of our players, our captain," Solskjaer said. "There's loads of speculation, we've just got to handle it.
"Ashley has been very professional and focused so I don't think that's going to change. It's a discussion me and Ash will have if it comes up, we haven't got too many players fit and ready so we need the ones we have."
United head into the weekend five points adrift of the top four but Solskjaer has been boosted by the prospect of defender Harry Maguire making a swift recovery from a torn muscle in his hip. Maguire missed the defeat to City but has a chance of facing Norwich.
Jesse Lingard, who was substituted at half time on Tuesday night, is out but Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah will step up their returns from long-term injuries with appearances for the Under-23s at Leigh on Friday.
"Harry has got a chance [to play Norwich]," Solskjaer said. "It was a minor thing and he will go through training today.
"It's not a surprise, he's a warrior and if there's a minor problem he'll put himself up to play."
