Juventus eye Chelsea trio
Chelsea fans still smarting from Saturday's shock 1-0 loss at home to West Ham won't be pleased to hear that continental bargain hunters Juventus are sniffing around three of their stars.
Reports at Tuttosport claim that the Bianconeri are lining up moves for Emerson Palmieri, Willian and Pedro, with the Serie A champions looking to take advantage of the protracted contract situations of the latter two.
In particular, Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici is concentrating on Brazilian winger Willian and could make a January swoop to tie the 31-year-old down to a pre-contract agreement to join the Turin club in the summer of 2020.
Pedro, meanwhile, is also close to the end of his Stamford Bridge deal, and with no new contract believed to be on offer at the moment, there is a clearer pathway for Juventus to sign the former Barcelona forward.
Full-back Palmieri would be the only player of the three to command a transfer fee, having joined from Roma on a four-year deal in 2018.

22.53 BST: As Juventus seek to clear out some of their squad in January, Football Italia cites Tuttosport as reporting that the Bianconeri are ready to move on 25-year-old centre-back Daniele Rugani in order to keep Merih Demiral.
21.15 BST: With starting goalkeeper Dean Henderson on loan from Manchester United, and likely to prove too expensive even if he wanted to stay, Sheffield United have identified Ben Foster as a summer replacement should last-placed Watford be relegated, according to the Sun.
19.28 BST: Pep Guardiola has identified 22-year-old River Plate midfielder Nicolas De La Cruz as the man to reinforce his midfield, with Marca reporting that the Premier League champions have already held "advanced negotiations" with the Uruguayan, and are closing in on a €25m fee with River.
17.41 GMT: Former England captain Wayne Rooney was given a rousing reception before taking his place among Derby County's coaching staff for the first time at the start of his 18-month stint as player-coach at the Championship club.
Rooney watched from the dugout as Derby drew 1-1 with Queens Park Rangers at Pride Park on Saturday.
England's all-time leading scorer, who is not eligible to play until January, had his name chanted by Derby fans when he was introduced to supporters on the field before kickoff. He applauded in reply.
The former Manchester United and Everton star left Major League Soccer side D.C. United in October after a two-year stint in North America's top flight.
15.35 GMT: Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has said the team's poor form is due to a "lack of quality" in certain areas in an apparent message to the club that the squad needs to be strengthened.
United have won only two of their last eight Premier League games and sit ninth in the table, nine points behind the Champions League places ahead of Sunday's match at home to Aston Villa.
"I don't think it's through any lack of effort, the boys are leaving everything out on the field in training and games," De Gea told Sky Sports. "You could point maybe to a lack of quality in certain areas, but certainly not a lack of fight."
Manchester United spent around £150m in the summer on centre-back Harry Maguire, right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and winger Daniel James, while Romelu Lukaku was sold to Inter Milan for £75m and Alexis Sanchez was loaned to the same club shortly before the transfer deadline.
13.59 GMT: Bayern Munich are interested in appointing Mauricio Pochettino as their next permanent head coach and are willing to wait until the summer for him, the Sunday Telegraph reports.
Pochettino has been linked with a host of Europe's top clubs since he was fired by Tottenham almost two weeks ago with Real Madrid, Manchester United and even Arsenal among those reported to be keen on hiring him.
Pochettino has said in the past that he would never manage Barcelona or Arsenal due to his previous affiliations with Espanyol and Spurs.
The Telegraph report claims the Argentine coach has been advised to take a proper break from management before considering his next move.

12.29 GMT: Mexico striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez has told the LA Times that he is open to a move to Major League Soccer in the future.
Hernandez, 31, left Premier League club West Ham to join Sevilla in Spain at the end of the summer transfer window, and has since scored three goals in 10 appearances.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player said when asked if MLS was a destination he has considered: "Yes. Definitely.
"Look, I am always thinking about my future. I want to be as open as I can to any opportunity.
"MLS is a league that is improving. It is an opportunity. Every league is an opportunity."
11.06 GMT: Liverpool and Tottenham are both considering a £50m move for Lyon attacker Memphis Depay, Calciomercato reports.
Depay, 25, has reinvigoriated his career since joining Lyon in 2017 following an unsuccessful 18 months at Manchester United. The Netherlands international has scored 41 goals in Ligue 1 and another nine in Europe in just under two years at the French club.
However, the two clubs could face competition from United, who inserted a buyback clause into the £15m sale to Lyon which means they must be informed if any club makes a bid for Depay.

10.00 GMT: Manchester City have identified Leicester City's Caglar Soyuncu as the long-term replacement for Vincent Kompany, according to The Sunday Times.
City has been plagued by issues in defence all season following Kompany's departure to become player-manager at Anderlecht. Aymeric Laporte is a long-term absentee through injury while both John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi have struggled with form and fitness, leading to Fernandinho filling in at centre-back.
Soyuncu, 23, has emerged as a key player for Leicester under Brendan Rodgers' management this season, featuring in all but one of their Premier League games so far this term. The Turkey international has helped the Foxes keep clean sheets in each of their last four league games.
PAPER TALK (by James Capps): Vidal vying for Inter switch
Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal is growing increasingly frustrated at his lack of playing time at Barcelona, and Tuttosport claims the Chilean is hoping to link up with Antonio Conte at Internazionale in January.
The 32-year-old has been missing for the Catalans' last three games and has been in and out of the side since joining the club from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2018.
Conte has been a long-term admirer of the former Juventus man. He reportedly wanted to bring him to the San Siro in the summer and also enquired about the midfielder's availability while he was manager of Chelsea.
Speaking in an interview, Vidal raised doubts over his long-term future at the Nou Camp, saying he will reevaluate his options at the turn of the year if his first team prospects don't improve.
United to trigger Matic deal to avoid Italian freebie
Manchester United are hoping to sell midfield outcast Nemanja Matic in January, with the Sun claiming Italian duo Juventus and Inter Milan are keen on the former Chelsea man.
Serie A leaders Juve are closely monitoring the Serbian's contract situation, with the 31-year-old's deal at Old Trafford expiring at the end of the season.
However, the United hierarchy are determined to recoup at least some of the £40 million transfer fee they spent to sign Matic from Chelsea in 2017, and will trigger a one-year extension on the player's deal if he does not agree a permanent move in the January transfer window.
Reports claim the Red Devils are looking for around £15 million for the 48-cap Serbia international, and Inter Milan manager Conte prefers the defensive midfielder as a potential bargain over the aforementioned Vidal.

- Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson says he is bracing himself for another tense transfer window, with the Standard saying that speculation regarding Wilfried Zaha's future is set to intensify after the club's chairman told the Ivory Coast international he can leave the club in the New Year if the right offer comes in.
- Queens Park Rangers midfielder Eberechi Eze looks set to miss out on a dream move to Tottenham Hotspur following the sacking of manager Mauricio Pochettino, who was reportedly lining up a January move for the 21-year-old. - Celtic manager Neil Lennon is determined to keep midfielder Nir Bitton at the club, despite the Israel international being linked with a free transfer to Premier League side Burnley, according to the Herald. The 27-year-old's contract in Glasgow expires at the end of the season, but Lennon says talks to extend the player's stay are ongoing.
