On-loan Arsenal forward Reiss Nelson scored on his debut for Hoffenheim, equalising late in the 2-1 loss to Fortuna Dusseldorf on Saturday.
Nelson, 18, was loaned out at the transfer deadline last month after signing a new contract with Arsenal.
Named in the matchday squad for the first time, Nelson entered as a substitute for Stefan Posch in the 72nd minute and scored in the 86th, though Dusseldorf's Dodi Lukebakio scored the winner from a penalty two minutes later.
"From the start, we played very well," Nelson told the Bundesliga's website. "We had a lot of chances. We were creating chances from the start until the end. But I thought our focus wasn't there at the last bit. I think they had it over us at the end and that's why they scored there at the end and they won the game."
Nelson, an England under-19 international, made his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace in January and his first league start against Southampton in May.
"It's a good chance for him to take minutes in and play and then come back with us," Arsenal coach Unai Emery said when the move was finalised.
