Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel signed a new five-year deal on Friday that will keep the Denmark international at the club through 2023.
Schmeichel, 31, has made 298 appearances for Leicester in all competitions. He was part of the Foxes' run to the Championship crown in 2014-15 and the Premier League title in 2015-16.
"I'm very happy to be here for many more years," Schmeichel said. "I've spent the majority of my career at Leicester now and had some amazing times here, so hopefully we'll have some more."
After Leicester's signing of Welsh goalkeeper Danny Ward from Liverpool this summer, Schmeichel was reportedly a target for Chelsea.
Schmeichel started in net for Denmark at the World Cup, reaching the round of 16 before losing on penalties to eventual runners-up Croatia.
His began his career with Manchester City and made his Premier League debut in August 2007 after loan spells at Darlington, Bury and Falkirk. He also played for Cardiff City and Coventry, before joining Notts County in 2009 and then Leeds in 2011.
Meanwhile, midfielder Bartosz Kapustka joined Belgian side OH Leuven before the transfer window closed on Friday.
