Nigeria's Samuel Kalu has signed for Girondins de Bordeaux from KAA Gent, the Ligue 1 side confirmed on Monday.
Bordeaux revealed on their official Twitter handle that the 20-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the club.
The 20-year-old joined Gent from AS Trencin in January 2017 and has been a consistent performer in the Jupiler League during the last few seasons.
He scored seven in 32 in the Jupiler League last term, and it's this form which has prompted Bordeaux to recruit him as the second Nigerian to play for the club - after Kalu Uche.
Kalu could be charged with stepping into the shoes vacated by Malcom, who moved to Barcelona earlier in the window, and will wear the number 10 shirt at the Matmut Atlantique this term.
He could face his former teammates in the Europa League playoff round later this month, as Bordeaux and Gent will meet each other in the next round if they see off their Third Qualifying Round opponents.
