Watford have completed the signing of England Under-19 defender Ben Wilmot from Stevenage.
Wilmot, 18, has penned a five-year contract at Vicarage Road.
The teenager made his debut in October 2017, and went on to make 15 appearances for Stevenage.
In a post on Bet League Two club's Twitter feed, Stevenage said Wilmot had left for a "club record transfer fee," believed to be in the region of £1 million.
Wilmot, who had been reported to be interesting the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal, earned his first England Under-19 call-up during the 2018 European Championship qualifiers in March.
