Melbourne Victory youngster Christian Theoharous has left the A-League champions, signing for German club Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 18-year-old impressed in his debut season for Victory, making a string of lively appearances from the bench under coach Kevin Muscat.
Despite making only two starts, he has been picked up by the Bundesliga club, which finished ninth this season.
The deal has been rumoured for weeks.
Fellow Australian Kwame Yeboah has been on the books of the Munich club since 2014 but is yet to start for the senior side, playing for their reserve team and sent on loan.
Borussia has a strong association with Australian players.
Craig Moore, Damien Mori and Mathew Leckie have previously played there.
Theoharous is the fifth departure from the champions since the Grand Final, joining Stefan Nigro, Mitch Austin, Cameron McGilp and Matias Sanchez.
The winger was denied a place in the Grand Final after being hacked down in a brutal Luke Wilkshire tackle late in the semifinal win over Sydney FC.
