Konstantinos Mavropanos has been handed a surprise Arsenal debut ahead of the Premier League game against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Mavropanos, 20, signed for Arsenal in January but had not made a single appearance before Sunday and lined up alongside 20-year-old Ainsley Maitland-Niles and 18-year-old Reiss Nelson in the starting XI.
Calum Chambers partnered Mavropanos in central defence with Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi rested ahead of Thursday's Europa League semifinal second leg at Atletico Madrid.
Arsene Wenger also left Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey out of the squad completely ahead of his final trip to Old Trafford, with teenager Reiss Nelson making his second Premier League start.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan made his return from a knee injury after three weeks out.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho has made one change to his Manchester United team to face Arsenal bringing in Victor Lindelof to replace Phil Jones.
Jones, who started the 2-1 win over Tottenham at Wembley last weekend, is not in the squad giving Lindelof the chance to come back into the team.
Mourinho again starts with a midfield three of Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera. Romelu Lukaku will spearhead the attack alongside Jesse Lingard and former Arsenal man Alexis Sanchez.
Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are among the substitutes but there is no place in the squad for Eric Bailly or Luke Shaw.
