Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Falkirk's young defender Tony Gallacher, a source has told ESPN FC.
Gallacher is close to a move, initially worth £200,000 sources say, to Liverpool, who view the 18-year-old as a player for the future.
When the deal is completed, the left-back will begin his career on Merseyside in Neil Critchley's under-23s side with a view of progression to the first team.
Gallacher has progressed through the ranks at Falkirk, having joined the Scottish club's academy at the age of 10.
The full-back made his first-team debut in a Scottish Cup tie back in November 2015 and has 26 appearances in total for Falkirk, who play in Scotland's second tier. He has also represented Scotland in various age groups on the international stage.
