The New England Revolution completed the signing of French midfielder Wilfried Zahibo on Thursday.
Zahibo, 24, comes to MLS after playing in the Spanish second division for Gimnastic, which terminated his contract earlier this week.
Zahibo previously played for Valenica in La Liga, though he only made seven appearances with the first team in 2015-16, including a Copa del Rey draw against Barcelona.
The Revolution said they will use allocation money in signing Zahibo.
"As we continue to add players to the 2018 roster, we believe Wilfried is a player who will improve the quality of our team," Revolution general manager Michael Burns said.
"He is a player capable of impacting matches from his central midfield role and we look forward to integrating him into our team as soon as possible."
