Fiorentina have signed striker Giovanni Simeone -- the son of Atletico Madrid boss Diego -- from Genoa.
Simeone, 22, scored 11 Serie A goals for Genoa last season and helps reinforce the forward line at the Stadio Artemio Franchi following the sale of Federico Bernardeschi to Juventus.
A statement published on Fiorentina's website on Wednesday evening said Simeone had committed to the Tuscans until 2022.
Simeone played for River Plate in his native Argentina between 2013 and 2016 during which time he won an Argentina Primera Division, a Copa Libertadores, a Copa Sudamericana and a Recopa Sudamericana.
