Manchester City are close to completing a deal for Nigerian striker Olarenwaju Kayode from Austria Vienna, sources have told ESPN FC.
The 24-year-old, who was the top scorer in the Austrian Bundesliga last season with 17 goals from 33 appearances, is expected to sign a four-year deal before being sent out on loan to Spanish side Girona.
Kayode, who has played for the Nigeria national team three times, can play wide as well as a central striker.
He will be the fifth City player to join La Liga side Girona this summer after Douglas Luiz, Pablo Maffeo, Aleix Garcia and Marlos Moreno all signed season-long loan deals.
City are currently in Spain for a four-day training camp and will play a friendly against Girona on Tuesday night.
Pep Guardiola has sent a full squad, though Kyle Walker has been given permission to miss the trip for personal reasons.
City have extra time off after their 2-0 opening victory over Brighton with their next game of the season against Everton not until next Monday night.
