Atlanta United will keep defender Anton Walkes on loan from Tottenham until the end of the season, the MLS club announced on Tuesday.
Walkes, 20, broke into Atlanta's starting XI in June and has started the past five games after sealing a six-month loan from the Premier League side in January.
And rather than bring him back to England ahead of the new season, Tottenham allowed Walkes to see out 2017 in the U.S.
Walkes' lone goal this season was an 81st-minute header that gave the new MLS club a win over the San Jose Earthquakes on July 4.
He has made 10 appearances in all competitions this season and started both of the team's U.S. Open Cup matches earlier this year.
