Major League Soccer on Tuesday handed out one-game suspensions to Real Salt Lake defender Chris Schuler and Atlanta United midfielder Yamil Asad for incidents last weekend.
Schuler came in through the back of Sporting Kansas City's Gerso Fernandes in the 10th minute of Saturday's game.
He did not receive a yellow card on the play, but upon review the MLS disciplinary committee ruled the challenge worthy of a suspension and fine.
Asad will also be fined and suspended after catching D.C. United's Lloyd Sam late on Sunday. He was shown a yellow card on the 83rd-minute play, after which he immediately apologized to Sam.
MLS also fined Portland Timbers midfielder Dairon Asprilla for a dive against FC Dallas.
