Bournemouth are planning a fresh move for Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic this summer, sources close to the south coast club have told ESPN FC.
Begovic, 29, has been a long-term target for Bournemouth, who failed in a bid to sign him in January as Chelsea were unable to find a replacement.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has made a new goalkeeper one of his top priorities during this summer's transfer window and the Bosnia and Herzegovina international remains his No. 1 target.
Bournemouth are looking to improve their goalkeeping and defensive options after conceding 63 Premier League goals this season and Howe feels Begovic would be a valuable addition to his squad.
The keeper, who joined Chelsea from Stoke in 2014, has been unable to claim a first-team spot from Thibaut Courtois and sources have told ESPN FC that he is ready to move on in search of regular first-team football.
Chelsea are unlikely to stand in Begovic's way if they receive a suitable offer as they will have enough time during the summer to bring in a replacement for the former Portsmouth man.
Begovic has started just seven games for Chelsea this season, with only one of those starts coming in the Premier League in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester United earlier this month after Courtois was ruled out through injury.
