Toulouse have terminated the loan of Paris Saint-Germain's Odsonne Edouard because of the striker's alleged involvement in an air gun incident in February.
Edouard, 19, is suspected of having shot a passer-by with an airsoft/BB gun pellet from through the window of his car earlier this year before driving off and was taken into police custody towards the end of last week for questioning.
Speaking with RMC Sport, Toulouse president Olivier Sadran confirmed Edouard will not play another minute for the club, that his loan deal had been terminated and the player sent back to his parent club.
Sadran also said that youth academy graduate Mathieu Cafaro was in the car with Edouard at the time and that the 20-year-old midfielder has been sacked for his role in the incident.
"What Odsonne has done is unacceptable and scandalous, Sadran said. "Firstly, he will never play again [for Toulouse] and secondly, he has been sent back to Paris. He was with another player [Cafaro] who has since been sacked. It is unspeakable.
"He [Edouard] needs to go to school for a long time and see it all the way through regardless of his level of sporting ability. That would better prepare him to handle moments like these, which are not easy.
"Being young, famous and having the financial means may appear idyllic but it is, without doubt, something complicated."
Edouard is now reported to be under judicial control until his appearance at Toulouse's correctional court on June 13, and is awaiting PSG's verdict on the matter.
The France under-19 international scored one solitary goal -- his first competitive strike at senior level -- in 16 appearances at Stade Municipal but only started four matches for Pascal Dupraz's side.
He managed a total of 571 minutes with Toulouse but had not featured since a 20-minute cameo in a 1-0 home defeat to Nantes in January.
Despite this incident, Edouard remains a highly rated prospect, mainly thanks to his eight-goal top-scoring display for France at the 2015 European Under-17 Championship. Three of those strikes came in the 4-1 win over Germany in the final.
